Proof is in the lists

I am stressed.

We are going on vacation, and I am stressed.  We will never be ready in time.  And I know for a fact we won’t be ready, because I have the lists to prove it.  Yep, I’m a list person. For this event, I have four lists:  Clothing; Food; Miscellaneous Items; To Do.  The problem is, I can’t tick off an entire list because they are interdependent.  I can’t pack all the clothing, because we have to do laundry.  I can’t pack all the food, because we have to go grocery shopping.  Pack the camera? No, because I need to charge the batteries.  See? We'll never be ready in time.  The proof is in the lists.

We were supposed to leave Thursday after work.  In desperation, I told the Urbane Lion we needed to take Thursday off as well.  He agreed, and we both spent yesterday morning tracking down our respective bosses, and pleading our case.  Fortunately, both bosses are kind individuals, the additional day’s leave was granted, and I gained some breathing room.  Until the Lion announced the following:  “Hurray!  We have all day Thursday off. We can leave for vacation Wednesday after work!” 

I am stressed.

Rambling - Okay, this is how bad I am. On the days I don't feel motivated to work on a Task List, I actually put things on there I have already done, just so I can cross them off. *big smile*
